A top UK new media training company, which schools creatives and developers at a number of locations around the country, has welcomed an exciting new announcement from Apple as a chance to throw industry doors wide open for good.
Speaking earlier today at their developer conference, Apple introduced the world to Swift; a new take on traditional programming languages. Based on the incumbent Objective-C, the all new Swift makes speed and ease of use a priority. The native Apple tongue retains some of the features of Objective C with the added benefit of latest generation usability. Smoother and faster than its counterparts, Swift allows developers to preview what is being coded and can be applied to anything from social networking apps to game development.
Academy Class has welcomed the launch of the new language and its promise of easier, quicker and smoother progress. Mark Young , Director of Academy Class said, “We’re delighted with Swift and the way that Apple have built on its predecessor Objective-C to create something that is still outstandingly functional but also easier to learn, easier to use and overall more accessible. We hope that this will encourage more creatives and techies to consider building apps and learning a programming language.
“Building proficiency in Swift is a great way to keep a finger on the pulse of the development industry and an easier than ever in into the world of app development.”
Academy Class will launch a series of new app development courses later this year, giving a fresh new pathway into the discipline for those who have previously been put off by the complexities of traditional development platforms.
The classes will give studies technical capability and real world expertise, opening up pathways into professional app development using programmes such as Apple’s new Swift.
