No. You do not need Adobe or Autodesk software installed on your own machine. The practical element of the exam runs inside the secure online examination environment we provide, so all you need is a computer and a stable internet connection.

Both Adobe and Autodesk certification exams are 50 minutes in duration.

Each exam is made up of two parts.

Part one is knowledge-based, using a mix of question styles:

• Multiple choice questions
• Fill-in-the-blank questions
• Drag-and-drop questions
• Hotspot questions, where you identify the correct area on screen

Part two is practical. You will carry out a series of live tasks within the software itself, demonstrating your skills in a working environment rather than simply answering questions about them.

The pass mark is 70% — that is 700 points out of a possible 1,000.

All Adobe Certified Professional and Autodesk Certified User accreditations are issued directly by Adobe and Autodesk. Academy Class is an authorised examination centre and delivers the exams on their behalf.

In other words, the credential you earn is the official vendor certification, recognised worldwide — not an Academy Class certificate.

Adobe and Autodesk certifications are valid for three years from the date of issue. After three years you will need to resit the exam to renew your certification.

An Autodesk exam voucher costs £120 + VAT and covers AutoCAD, Revit for Architecture, Inventor, Maya, 3ds Max, Fusion and Tinkercad. As with Adobe, one voucher equals one exam sitting for your chosen software.
