This course is ideal for beginners who want to learn Autodesk Maya and build practical skills in 3D modelling, animation and rendering. No previous Maya experience is required, although basic computer skills and a general interest in 3D design or digital media would be helpful.
Attendees require only a very general knowledge of 3D and its concepts although a basic understanding of computer hardware and software is essential. Knowledge of other digital media packages is an advantage but not a necessity.

The Maya Zero to Hero Course is a practical 5 day instructor-led Autodesk Maya training programme designed for learners who want to build a strong foundation in 3D modelling, animation, materials, lighting and rendering.
During the course, you will learn how to navigate the Maya interface, set up projects, work with views and panels, manage objects, use cameras and understand the essential tools used in a professional Maya workflow. You will then progress into 3D modelling techniques, including curves, snapping, NURBS, polygons, extrusion, duplication, grouping and surface creation.
The course also introduces animation workflows, including keyframing, the time slider, path animation, joints, IK handles, set driven keys, secondary animation and playblasting. You will also learn how to work with materials, textures, lights, shadows, UV mapping, camera settings and render output.
This course is ideal for learners who want to use Autodesk Maya for 3D modelling, animation, games, film, television, visual effects, digital content or creative production. Training is available Live Online or In Class, and is delivered by experienced instructors.
