NABS, a registered charity since 1913, is an organisation that supports the diverse, fun and talented employees who make the UK advertising and media industry the remarkable place it is. They work out support objectives for you so that they can provide you with practical solutions. Services are open to people who currently work or who have spent a substantial amount of time working in the advertising and media industries.

ScreenSkills is the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen-based creative industries  such as animation, film and games.

A ScreenSkills bursary is a cash grant designed to remove some of the practical barriers to making progress in the screen industries. Bursaries pay for training or other costs associated with skills development. They provide bursaries to help ensure the screen industries have access now, and in the future, to the skills and talent needed for continued success.

The Youth Creative Skills Training Bursary

Creative & Cultural Skills an independent charity that provides careers advice and guidance, promotes apprenticeships, and delivers activities for young people through their National Skills Academy network of industry and education supporters.

Creative & Cultural Skills work includes:

  • Giving young people opportunities to work in and learn about the creative industries
  • Helping to feed skilled and talented young people into the creative industries
  • Connecting training providers to industry experts
  • Conducting and/or collating research that sets the agenda for debate
  • Setting industry standards and improve operational practice around recruitment, particularly at an entry level

Creative Skillset

The Youth Creative Skills Training Bursary Scheme has been established to help improve access to creative skills training or development programmes for young people.

This bursary scheme links to Strategic Theme 2 in the Cultural Strategy – Investing in creative learning & skills development to support the creative development of their young people and creative practitioners through training, skills development and providing opportunities to showcase work

Creative England

Creative England as a creative investor, addresses the financing gap for creative businesses by offering bespoke investments, loans and growth mentoring. They also connect national investor networks to regional creative businesses. With the vision being for England’s creative people and businesses to be the most innovative and successful in the world.

Skills Development Scotland

Skills Development Scotland supports individuals to build their career management, work-based and employability skills, throughout their career journey, from school, into further learning opportunities and employment.

They are able to use skills intelligence to help inform the decisions of people across Scotland, at all stages of their careers, so that they are well-placed to take up the opportunities arising within the economy.

The ReAct Lll

The ReAct lll (Grant) initiative provides financial support packages designed to help individuals to gain new skills, overcome barriers preventing employment (such as lacking qualifications), and improve their chances of returning to work in the shortest time possible.
