This fast track Illustrator Zero to HERO course is for designers and budding developers new to the Illustrator environment, or those that have not had formal training.
You’ll produce an exciting graphic project using both the classic features and the new and improved tools in Illustrator and will leave this class with the ability to create and incorporate vector graphics for different projects.

Graphic designers or people transitioning into a design job or taking on design responsibilities who need to use Adobe Illustrator to create illustrations, logos, advertisements or other graphic documents. They may have little or no experience with Illustrator, although they may already use Adobe InDesign and Adobe Photoshop.
Basic computer skills are necessary to complete this Illustrator course. These skills include; a basic understanding of a computer’s operating system, launching an application, creating and saving files, and copying files from CDs and other media.
In the Adobe Illustrator Zero to HERO course, you will learn how to draw and understand Bezier curves, understand the root of drawing in Illustrator, create a logo using simple shapes, accurately place and measure objects in the Illustration window, trace and colour your hand drawn artwork with Live Trace, work with live Paint and Live Colour and save illustrations for both print and web purposes.
You will also learn how to further adjust Bezier curves by creating Compound paths, create Custom Brushes and various Graphic Styles, work with Transparency and other raster effects like drop shadows, accurately adjust, type in an artwork, prepare documents for composite and commercial printing, enhance the workflow and understand the integration of Illustrator with the rest of Creative Suite.
Online or in-class
Adobe Illustrator Zero to HERO course duration is five days and is available in a live online format or in person. Adobe Illustrator Zero to HERO course in-person training occurs on weekdays based in London and Manchester UK.
Online training for the Adobe Illustrator Zero to HERO course is 9:30 am to 4:30 pm (GMT) in the United Kingdom, and from 9 am to 3 pm (CST) in the United States.

Illustrator training at Academy Class is experiential learning. Adobe Illustrator Zero to HERO course consists of instructor-led training either in-person or in a live online format. Illustrator trainers are expert, authorised trainers that are skilled in the Adobe Illustrator Professional Software. Trainers teach the key concepts and theory, then allow students to ask questions and to practically develop their skills.
Illustrator Training Terms
To confirm your reservation and enrol for the Illustrator course, either complete the registration form and provide a formal Purchase Order, or agree to pay for the course as set out on the Academy Class terms and conditions page.
If your Illustrator course booking is made within 10 working days of course commencement it must be paid for, or agreed to be paid for immediately at the time of enrolment.
You may pay or agree to pay for the course by cheque (payable to Academy Class) purchase order (in which case payment must be paid for within 30 days of Academy Class’s invoice), credit card (we accept Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch or Amex) or by bank transfer.
International delegates taking courses in the UK must pay in advance by cheque, money order or bank transfer.
Once we have received your payment or agreement to pay, we will confirm your reservation by a confirmation package via post, fax or email. If you have not received this package at least one week before the beginning of class, please call us.
You may cancel a course for which you have enrolled and be fully refunded all course fees provided you give Academy Class at least 20 working days’ notice prior to the course commencement. Once this time period a sliding scale of charges will apply as follows:
Notice of Cancellation Given – Amount Payable.
20 – 11 working days prior to course commencement – 50% of the course fee.
10 – 0 working days before course commencement – 100% of course fee.
All cancellations must be received in writing and acknowledged by Academy Class in writing.
Academy Class reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a course if required delegate numbers are not met, we will endeavour to give a minimum of 10 working days notice.
You will remain liable for the full course fee and any expenses incurred by Academy Class if cancellation is received after this time.
If a delegate fails to attend the first or any subsequent day of a course, Academy Class reserves the right to deny the delegate entry to the classroom for the remainder of the course. If Academy Class exercises this right, the booking will be deemed cancelled and you will be liable for the full course fee.
